Many students join from overseas. Since lessons are online, you can learn from anywhere. The course is designed to prepare you for real-life Japanese, whether you are already in Japan or planning to move here in the future.

That said, we strongly recommend (1) a short onboarding meeting and (2) a monthly check-in. Most learners find these help to:

• set clear goals and a simple weekly plan,

• ask questions early so you never feel stuck,

• stay motivated and accountable, and

• keep daily life aligned with your goal (mastering the basics and speaking Japanese).

How to go video-only:
After completing your plan purchase, email [email protected]  with the subject “Video-only (no coaching)”. Please include your account email and plan name. We’ll turn off coaching bookings while keeping your full access to all lesson videos and materials.
You can switch back to coaching anytime by booking a session or emailing us.

You can send messages to your coach anytime on LINE or WhatsApp, and you’ll get a reply within 24 hours. Think of it less as “mandatory practice” and more as a chance to use what you’ve learned in real life.

For example, try starting your morning with a simple “おはようございます！（= Good morning!）” to your coach. That one small action already counts as real communication in Japanese. From there, you can naturally build up more vocabulary and phrases at your own pace.

• Send voice messages if you want feedback on pronunciation or reading aloud

• Request your coach to send voice replies so you can model natural speech

The goal is to internalize your learning by using English in daily moments. It’s not about pressure—it’s about creating opportunities.
